As of this upload date, the Voltaic Kovaak's Season 5 Benchmarks have not been released (yet). These will feature a subcategory for control tracking where these principles will be paramount to your success.
Note: While Air and Ground Plaza variants were used to showcase the effectiveness of good control technique, these still do not fall under the subcategory. Why? Reactive is distinguished from control tracking by the speed of the target and the frequency of its strafes. Control targets are not expected to strafe as often, or as fast as reactive targets like in Air Angelic or Plaza. Furthermore, precise tracking is distinguished from control tracking by the observed movement patterns appearing linear or non-linear.
Another note: I'm aware of the fact that there is some discourse in the community regarding the usefulness of more controlled tracking scenarios versus pure reactivity. Why is this even a debate? Both are needed for their separate aiming situations. We should not have to choose to train one or the other, and one is not superior to the other for any good reason.
