This week Plant Lovers I was lucky that the peak blooming of my Stanhopea oculata occurred on a Saturday which meant I could make a video about it! (The flowers don't last long!) And in looking at the care information for this one I thought we may as well look at three plants from the same group that consistently FAILED to bloom! Not enough light? Too immature? Too cold in winter? Who knows!! So lets take a tiptoe through the Stanhopeas and see what we can find out! The plants I mention are:
Stanhopea oculata
Coryhopea Predator
Stanhopea graveolens var Venezuela - I couldn't find any reference to this variety despite the label!
Stanhopea tigrina var. nigroviolacea 'Black Out'
