This episode shows how to whip stitch hook and loop tape onto a bag pocket without taking the bag apart.
The whip stitch is a hand sewing technique that's an ideal type of stitch for times when you're attaching something, like hook and loop tape or an applique, to something that's already been made.
This small purse is a great example, because it didn't have any closures on it when I got it, so in this video, I'm hand sewing a piece of hook and loop tape onto the pocket using the whip stitch.
I'll be back in a follow-up video to do a hidden stitch to sew the other piece of hook and loop tape to the bag flap.
