This tutorial shows you how to install a wood stove jack flashing kit onto your canvas tent to use a wood burning stove. Life inTents branded tents come with a preinstalled stove jack and 3" hole. Your pipe exit hole may need to be created (or enlarged) to fit your specific tent stove pipe. The task may sound daunting, but hopefully this video shows how simple the task can be (especially if you have a partner to help).

We strongly suggest attaching a stove flashing kit to your tent when a wood stove is used. The flashing kit helps to keep rainwater out of your tent and provides added stability from wind - both helping to protect your tent.
You should also place a fireproof mat under the stove, clean the flue pipe regularly with a brush, place a carbon monoxide detector on the floor and consider a wood stove thermometer.
The wood tent stove and flashing kit featured in this set -up should work with most all tents.
NOTE: Always follow suggested tent placement provided by your selected wood stove manufacturer.
