In today's video, I'll be installed a Safari snorkel to my Spanish built 2011 Navara D40, which is fitted with the 2.5L YD25DDTi engine.
The model number for the snorkel kit is SS731HF.
The main reason for installing the snorkel is to give the engine the best chance of breathing cool, fresh air, rather than breathing air through the front guard, where the air could be hotter.
The kit includes all the parts, including the bolts, pop rivets, templates and clamps, along with the instructions, which are very well laid out and easy to follow.
The instructions also list the required tools to complete the installation; the main one being the 105mm holesaw!
The suggested install time is 150 mins (2.5hrs) but if you allow half a day, you'll easily complete the snorkel install.
