New toilet (bowl and tank)
Wax ring
Closet bolts and washers

Plumber’s putty or silicone sealant
Level
Bucket and sponge (for water cleanup)
Hacksaw (if necessary)
Step-by-Step Installation:
1. Remove the Old Toilet (If Applicable)
Turn off the water supply valve and flush the toilet to drain as much water as possible.
Use a sponge or towel to remove any remaining water in the tank and bowl.
Disconnect the water supply line from the tank.
Unscrew and remove the nuts from the closet bolts at the base of the toilet.
Gently rock the toilet to break the seal of the old wax ring, then lift it off.
Scrape off the old wax ring from the flange and check for damage. If the flange is cracked or broken, replace or repair it.
2. Install the New Wax Ring
Place a new wax ring onto the toilet flange (or on the toilet outlet).
Align the closet bolts in the flange to fit into the toilet base holes.
3. Set the Toilet Bowl
Carefully lower the toilet bowl onto the flange, making sure the bolts go through the holes in the base.
Press down firmly but gently to ensure a tight seal with the wax ring.
Secure the toilet in place by tightening the nuts onto the closet bolts. Do not overtighten, as this may crack the porcelain.
Use a level to check if the toilet sits evenly.
4. Attach the Tank (If Separate)
Position the rubber gasket between the tank and the bowl.
Align the tank bolts and tighten them evenly.
Connect the water supply line to the tank and tighten it securely.
5. Turn on the Water and Test
Slowly turn on the water supply valve.
Let the tank fill and flush the toilet to check for leaks.
Tighten any connections if necessary.
6. Seal and Finish
Apply a thin bead of silicone sealant around the base of the toilet (optional).
Install the toilet seat and tighten the bolts.
