The process is the same for 99-02 but the wiring is a little different. In order for this to work using the factory electric fans you also need a 34" Core radiator. I will also be installing that in this video. If you have a 28" Radiator these electric fans will not fit. I also use a factory wiring harness. Several companies make a nice electric fan harness for the silverado tahoe sierra or yukon but I decided to make it all look oem. Since I was removing the clutch fan and radiator I also decided to install a 160 degree thermostat. If you are looking for improved gas mileage, more power and a smoother Idle you need to swap to electric fans. It is easy and can be done in an afternoon. It does require the use of hp tuners or a shop to turn on the fans. I try to show the process with hp tuners but if you are not familiar with it, take it to a professional tuner.
