We're back at it on our job site in West Jefferson, where we're installing a basic gravity-fed septic system. I take some time during the day to walk y'all through the process, explaining each step while keeping it real about what the workday looks like for us. Spoiler: it's not always smooth sailing!
Things get interesting when the HOA President drops by to discuss the bushes at the front gate that we accidentally destroyed while bringing our equipment trailer with the dozer up the narrow, gravel, steep road. Luckily, he’s pretty understanding despite my bad mood and even helps out by finding someone to haul materials in for our driveway.
Towards the end of the day, we run into some trouble with the bucket breaking, and then we realize the bucket width doesn’t match the chamber size. 😅 After some problem-solving, we wrap up the day and return the next day to knock out the job.
After finishing up in West Jefferson, we head over to a new lot clearing job in Sugar Mountain, where we meet with the tree subs and lay out the game plan for the site.
