Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Those shutoff valves under your bathroom vanity or kitchen sink can seem intimidating to replace, but the process isn't that difficult. There are different types, including Shark-Bite style, compression style and the sweat-on or "soldered" style. The last one can make DIYs nervous, but in this video I will go through the steps and make it easy. Sweat-on valves are durable and can be replaced in the future with ease. When I do a bath or kitchen remodel, I replace them as a matter of course, since they tend to fail with time. You can sometimes just replace the washer, but if the seat is corroded that will have limited effectiveness. I prefer to replace the whole valve and start fresh. ► To Purchase https://amzn.to/3fRWHJU (Bernzomatic torch trigger) https://amzn.to/3dMFYVH (Copper pipe wire brush) https://amzn.to/3s2u5QE (Emery cloth sandpaper) https://amzn.to/2Q8MSfU (Solder and flux paste) https://amzn.to/3wJZHy0 (Sweat-on valve for 1/2 inch pipe)
