ABOUT COMBUST PLANETS:
Of the many misunderstood energies in 'Vedic' astrology, is one associated with combust planets in the birth chart.
Classical perspective on combust planet transfers all of the energy of the combust planet to the Sun and 'weakens' the planet himself.
Meaning that the planet in your chart, himself lacks the ability to give you benefic results during its bhukti period.
The real effect is a bit different from this as per my analysis. Combust planets aren't weak in my opinion but inaccurately expressed.
See when a planet is too close to the Sun, it is true that it will cease to be visible on its own in the sky because the sun's light will blind it from sight.
However, what this really does is that it hinders the authentic energy of the planet's expression to come through.
As an astronomical event, this phenomenon is called an 'inferior conjunction' and what this means is that the planet is transiting between the Sun and the Earth. At this point, the planet is very difficult to pick out. However it is still very much there.
However.. only the inner planets Mercury & Venus suffer inferior conjunction. The outer planets that are larger in size and at a further distance from the Sun.. don't.
