The combination of the up-to-down trajectory and the movement put on the ball makes a jump float serve very challenging to pass. If you know how to do an overhand serve and feel comfortable with your attacking footwork, the jump float serve is the next step to add to your serving repertoire! Jump float serves can be very frustrating to learn because the rhythm of the toss with the steps is challenging at the start. The important thing is to make sure you toss the ball higher and further in front of you than you do for a normal overhand serve. Don't give up though! Work through the rhythm by using the steps in this video, and you will get it! ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ ✧ Sarah Pavan is a Canadian beach volleyball Olympian and World Champion.
