The notion that Flowerhorns must only be kept as a single specimen is simply untrue. Flowerhorns are known for the aggressive temperament (as with most cichlids) and are often appreciated as a single specimens in an aquarium.
This does not mean they cannot live in a community tank. With the appropriate steps and measures, it is certainly possible. While it is never risk-free, these steps increase your chances of success.
