A step-by-step tutorial on the ladder back jacquard knitting technique to trap floats when doing colorwork in an invisible way ► Read the tutorial on my blog: https://nimble-needles.com/tutorials/how-to-knit-ladder-back-jacquard/ ► Support me on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/nimbleneedlez The ladder back jacquard technique is a truncated form of double knitting that can be used for stranded colorwork projects where you have big blocks in one colors that bridge more than 4-5 stitches. Instead of catching floats, you create a little double-layer on the wrong side that anchors the floats and keeps them from snagging. This ladder is utterly invisible on the right side and only creates two anchoring stitches at the beginning and the end. 0:00 Introduction 0:42 What is ladder back Jacquard 2:51 How to knit the setup row - 3 different ways 6:23 How to knit the ladder on the wrong side 8:32 How to knit the ladder on the right side 12:17 How to finish the Jacquard ladder 14:40 Comparing the different methods to knit ladder back jacquard 17:59 Advanced ladder back jacquard 24:14 Tips and tricks ►Link to my second channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCDUgpVfqgFHcFGq-AkhktoQ ► Link to my Patreon account: https://www.patreon.com/nimbleneedlez ► Buy my patterns here: https://bit.ly/3aBRdzs ►Visit my blog for a free knitting school: https://nimble-needles.com/learn-to-knit-for-beginners/ ►Subscribe to my newsletter for a free pattern & regular updates: https://nimble-needles.com/newsletter/
