In this tutorial we will walk through each step of knitting socks on Magic Loop including: casting on and setting up, knitting a heel flap and gusset, knitting the toe, and how to close up your toe using the Kitchener Stitch. This tutorial accompanies a written pattern that can be purchased on Ravelry & Etsy. (Links below) In the tutorial I will be knitting a size medium from this pattern. If the amounts needed for Small or Large are different from the medium I will put the info at the bottom of the screen. Pattern is written for Small(Medium, Large) – Circumference 8-9”(9-10”, 10-11”) A Note on Sizes: The sizes listed are based on the foot circumference and not the foot length. I recommend choosing a size that will allow for 1-2 inches of negative ease to get the best fit. You will knit the sock to the length that you need in order to fit. If you would like to purchase the written pattern to follow along it is available for only $2.00, you can do so here: Ravelry: https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/vanilla-socks-on-magic-loop Etsy: https://www.etsy.com/listing/802986080/vanilla-socks-on-magic-loop-pdf-pattern?ref=listings_manager_grid Supplies needed: (links are for where the ones I used in the tutorial can be found on Amazon: when available) US1/2.25 mm needle with a 32" cable : https://amzn.to/3QKeMKi Scissors: My favorites! https://amzn.to/3ITTLLg Light Bulb Progress Keepers: https://amzn.to/3QXSZix Needle (for kitchenering and weaving in ends): https://amzn.to/3GIBXjG Tape Measure: https://amzn.to/3km6D2m Yarn: 100 grams/460 yards of fingering weight yarn.
