2. Mark the most important words in each sentence to emphasise on
3. Understand the tonality and relation of characters as per situation
4. Visualise, dream with open eyes to enact it...
Below is the practice script for you all.
Name of the play- RANGREZ
Based on Anton Chekhov's Short Story - Story of an artist
Scene 1
The protagonist is sitting near a fireplace on a rocking chair in a hill station looking at the burning fire next to him. His eyes are fixed on the wooden sticks will are about to get burnt in the fire.
(Dialogue in Devanagri) इन चटकती हुई लकड़ियो की आवाजें सुन रहे हैं आप? ...आप यहाँ मेरी जगह होते तो शायद देख पाते कि ये लकड़ियाँ कितने उत्साह से खुद को भस्म कर देना चाहती हैं इस आग में। शुरूआत में ये बस ईर्ष्या से देखती रहती हैं, आग के बीचो-बीच लाल पड़ती , टूटती - चटकती लकड़ियों को अपनी बारी का इंतजार करते हुए, बस इनका कोई कोना आग पकड़ ले फिर तो किसी संगीत से भर उठती हैं ये, कोई नृत्य उतरने लगते हैं इनमें । चटकने की हर आवाज़ के साथ कितनी ऐंठ भरी अदा से हिलती हैं ये जैसे कोई सपना सच हो गया हो और फिर यही चलता रहता है, राख हो जाने तक । और बस स्वपन खत्म( laughs)
(Dialogue in Roman English for those who can't read Hindi) - Inn chatakti hui lakdiyon ki awaazein sunn rahe hain aap? aap yahaan meri jagah hote toh shayad dekh paate ki yeh lakdiyaan kitne utsaah se khud ko bhasm kar dena chahti hain iss aag mein. shuruat mein bass irshiya se dekhti rehti hain, aag ke beechon beech laal padti, tootti chatakti lakdiyon ko apni baari ka intezaar karte hue. Bass inka koi kona aag pakad le toh phir kisi sangeet se bhar uthti hai yeh, koi nritya utarne lagta hai inmein. Chatakne ki har awaaz ke saath kitni einth bhari adaa se hilti hain yeh jaise koi sapna sach ho gaya ho aur phir yehi chalta rehta hai, raakh ho jaane tak. Aur bas swapn khatam ( laughs)
