When you combine Slow Stitching and Victorian Crazy Quilting the possibilities are endless. Join me for this step by step tutorial where I create a Crazy Quilt inspired Book or Journal Cover. After creating a fabric collage, it’s time add all kinds of trims, cording, lace and ribbons and then embellish everything with hand embroidery stitches including running stitch, seed stitch, French knots, and a blanket stitch spider web. After embellishment it’s time to add a lining with a pocket and create the book cover. So many colourful decorative stitches in this project. Join me to create a stitched artwork full of crazy color and texture!
Thread & Needle Notes:-
In this project I’m using TWO strands of the 6 strand Embroidery Floss throughout.
-I’m using Embroidery Needles to create most stitches.
-To create French Knots I use a Milliners Needle.

Stitching this way is so relaxing because you don’t have to think about following a complex pattern or worry about your stitches being perfect. It’s all about free flowing relaxing creativity. Stitch Along with Me! #slowstitching
