Today I'm making fishing net for my wife using my steam box project from the last video (also referred to as landing net or a scoop net). In the video I'll show making the form for bending, cutting the strips of wood used, steaming the wood and then finally forming, laminating, sanding, finishing and tying the net into the frame. It was definitely a bigger project than I was anticipating, but now that the form and other components have been created.... should result in many more future nets being made in the same way.
Also, I want to give a big shout out to Scott @kiowa_garageworks (IG) and Jameson @RiverbendWoodworks for their tips, tricks and help in figuring this project out! Specifically I got a lot of good tips from Jameson's 'koa fly fishing net build'. here is a link....
