In this video, I will show you how to use nylon netting to build a trellis for vining plants. The plants I have chosen are my Armenian cucumbers, not truly a cucumber, but a cucumber-like melon. They taste like cucumbers, yet they grow through the heat of our summers if cared for properly. I'm going to train some plants vertically on my net trellis, others sprawl along the ground. This is a very simple way of growing vegetables vertically to save space, and also to provide greater visibility to pollinating insects. This method works for all kinds of vining vegetables such as beans, cucumbers, watermelons, vining squash, even tomatoes.
