A woodworking technique for making round frames, or even simple wooden wheels, involves first making a pair of wooden hexagons that are glued together, overlapping one on top of the other. This gives us an initial reinforced frame. From this first frame, we cut the outer circle and then the inner circle, resulting in a wooden ring to make the frame. Alternatively, by adding spokes, we can turn it into a wooden wheel.
In the next video, we’ll see how to cut the inner circle and route the rabbet on the back to complete the frame.
