✨ WHAT IS MACRAME?

Macrame is the art of creating designs using decorative knots. The word “macrame” comes from the French term for “knot,” which traces back to the Turkish word makrama and the Persian mikrama. This ancient technique dates back over 4,000 years and was used by the Persians, Assyrians, and later introduced to Europe by the Arabs. Today, macrame is a popular technique for making jewelry, wall hangings, and more!

On this channel, you’ll find DIY tutorials for making bracelets, friendship bracelets, necklaces, earrings, chokers, and more using different types of thread, like waxed cord, embroidery floss, and Chinese knotting cord.
