What's the difference between this type and others? A: Rooter pom poms are typically used by sports fans and not by cheer leaders. This is because of their long handle that is easier to hold and shake. Tissue paper pom poms are also usually single or short-term use due to the tissue's tendency to fall apart when wet. These are easier to make than cheerleader pom poms because they do not need to be "shuffed" or fluffed up and shaped. Simply shake and go! Q: How many tissue paper sheets do I need? A: A minimum of 5 sheets per pom pom - 10 sheets total makes 2 pom-poms. Q: What size tissue paper should I get? A: You can use any size tissue paper sheets for this. Simply use them to follow the tutorial as shown. If your tissue paper differs from those sheets shown in the video, you can still follow the tutorial and they will turn out awesome. Q: Can I use different colors? A: YES! That's the beauty of it! You can use one, two, three or more colors. Q: Can I use other material other than tissue paper? A: YES!!! You can use whatever material you like. The sky is the limit! The steps of the tutorial will yield the same general result. However, due to the differing sizes of materials used, you will have to eyeball (guess) on what size to cut your materials to start. Also, I cannot guarantee the finished result (how they look, handle, or how long they'll last) of pom poms made with a different material (such as paper, plastic tablecloths or trash bags, foil paper, etc) simply because I haven't made pom poms using those materials.
