In my new video you can see how to make Easter Cakes at home, and there is also a very detailed cake decorating tutorial.
I bake 2 lovely Pistachio cakes, the cakes are put together with a creamy Chocolate Ganache with small Chocolate pieces added. I add Pistachio cream to the cakes, but if you don't have Pistachio cream you can replace the Pistachio cream with Butter. From this recipe I get 43 cakes. If you think it's a bit too many you can halve the amount. If you are a beginner in making cakes, you can easily follow my video. The whole video is at a leisurely pace, and I show a very detailed decoration tutorial. There are flowers on some of the Easter cakes that are made of modeling Chocolate, I show you at the end of the video how to make them. It is very easy to work with modeling Chocolate, because it does not dry like Fondant, only if it has been left for a whole day without being wrapped. You also get a good tip in the video for what to do if you don't have much chocolate in the bowl to dip your cakes in.
When I have cut out all the cakes, there is some cake left over, I store it in the freezer and make some delicious Cake pops another day.
