TEST and explanation ⏩ https://youtu.be/KLV9oMWb9dg As a splitter drive, we used a 2.2 kw / 3hp geared motor, which reduced the gear speed to 20 rpm. I bought it online. I welded some elements with the MMA method, i.e. the electrode because the welds made with this method are stronger. Yes I know. They do not look good :) I used the M4 toothed rack (40x40mm) and M4 18-tooth gears. I didn't show how to connect electrics and power supply because I'm not an electrician and I'm not sure if I connected it right. In the electrical box I put: - differential circuit breaker - overload breaker - contactor 380V 24V - 24v power supply - right / left switch - 230 V socket - 380 V socket In the control panel: - on button - off button - emergency button What happens if the wood is too hard? Nothing. The overload fuse will cut off the current to the motor. The whole weighs about 250 - 300 kg. The machines I did in the earlier videos helped me a lot in building this construction: https://youtu.be/FGPVdLr42Yg - Workshop Crane powered by DRILL https://youtu.be/7BANZRdqFvU - Making The Hydraulic VISE DIY https://youtu.be/2rB59KaMjaQ - DIY Belt Grinder 2x48 "
