#chainsaw #stihl #firewood #diy #tool #machine #cutting #log I independently made a chainsaw with a drive from a three-phase electric motor with a power of 1.2 kilowatts. I took the chain tire from an old chainsaw, in your case it could be a Stiel, Husqvarna, Partner or any Chinese chainsaw or electric chainsaw. In my case, a chain with a pitch of 0.325" and the number of links is 64, that is, 32 saw teeth. But you can safely use another guide bar and chain. My stationary saw is designed for cutting firewood into individual stumps. I made the chain and tire lubrication system self-lubricating, which works under the force of gravity. Machine oil is poured into the container and it flows down the tube to the tire. I made the base of this saw from a 40x40x2 mm profile pipe, welded everything using MMA welding and ESAB OK-46 artificial electrodes with a diameter of 2.4 mm. The electric motor itself is mounted on a small frame welded from metal angles 45x45 mm and a profile pipe measuring 40x20x2 mm. I welded small hinges to this frame and the rest of the hinges were MMA welded to the main frame. All this forms a kind of pendulum. An electric motor with a tire and a chain swings on this pendulum. On the main frame there is a small bed, sheathed with sheet metal with the help of rivets, the size of 1200x400 mm, where a branch or other piece of wood is stolen. Then the button on the handle turns on the electric motor with a tire and a chain, it descends on the wood and cuts it in half. The electric motor is switched on through a relay that is connected to a three-phase network. If you do not have such a network, but only one phase, then you can feed your electric motor through a current frequency converter, or use starting capacitors of the appropriate capacity for the power of your electric motor. As you can see, the structure is working and has the right to life. For ease of transportation, this machine is equipped with two wheels with a diameter of 200 mm, in the middle of the lathe there are elegant kaprolon bushings.
