Gorilla Bread (Oversized & Stuffed Monkey Bread)
½ cup granulated sugar
3 teaspoons cinnamon
1 stick (½ cup) butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
1-8 oz package cream cheese
2- 10 count cans of refrigerated biscuits
1 - 1 ½ cups chopped nuts (of your choice)
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Spray a bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside. In a separate bowl, mix together granulated sugar and cinnamon. Remove biscuits from pan, separate, and press each biscuit flat. Then, roll each biscuit into the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Remove cream cheese from the package and cut into 20 pieces. Place one piece of cream cheese in the middle of each biscuit and crimp together to close. Place the biscuits into the bottom of the bundt pan. Sprinkle remaining sugar (optional) over top of biscuits and sprinkle with nuts (optional). Set aside.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter and brown sugar over medium heat until melted and well combined. Pour the melted butter mixture over the biscuits evenly covering all of the biscuits. Bake uncovered for 30 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes. After the five minutes have passed, carefully invert the bundt pan onto a serving dish and enjoy!
