SHALOM from Israel! This How To Challah video will help you make the best challah bread, as easy as possible. Challah is our our special bread we eat every Shabbat. We love our homemade recipe and eat it every week! Full recipe below. (tip- no less than 10 min!) Let rise ~1 hour 02:32 shape the dough, second rise ~1.5 hours 5:23 check is risen enough 6:00 egg wash 7:05 Bake for 15 min 180c, one tray at a time then cover with towel 7:25 Freeze any not eaten the same day! 💡 RECIPE 💡 Dough 2 cups room temperature water 2 tablespoons dry yeast = 50 gram fresh yeast 1 tablespoon salt 1/2 cup sugar drizzle honey (optional) 2 eggs 1/2 cup oil 1 kg of flour Egg wash and decoration 1 egg + egg yolk + a little water Sesame seeds ❤️ TIPS❤️ 1) You can mix all ingredients together in no special order. 2) Leave out some flour/ add some flour as needed. 3) Warm water best for yeast. 4) Knead for a full ten minutes, look at the clock! 5) No Mixer- use your body strength to help knead the dough. 6) Use roller for extra fluffiness. 7) Yolk mixture- use extra yolk, use silan, double coat for extra color, coat on all sides 8) Put towel after oven for extra softness 9) Always freeze if will be eaten next day!
