In this video I wanted to show you an easy way to make handbag straps with filler cord. It is really easy. The hardest part is making sure your sewing machine needle is all the way to the left by changing the settings on your machine. I have a brother ST371HD and to change my needle position I push the dial in the middle of my machine all the way to zero. This makes it easy to sew down the side of the cord. Just make sure you go very slow. I purchased the filler cord for Joann's fabric store. I will use these straps in a bag I'm working on. The final measurements of the straps are approx. 18 inches long. In the next video we will work on the zipper gusset to the bag I am currently making.
