ingredients for crispy sausage roll dough
2&1/2 cups of flour
125g butter (about 1 cup)
baking powder 1 tsp
sugar 3 tsp
milk 1/4 cup or less depends on the texture you have before adding your eggs
2 eggs
1/4 nutmeg
pinch of salt
note: keep in the fridge to cool for 15 min before cutting
this measurement makes 9 sausage roll, you can get more if you make slim sausages.
ingredients for gala style sausage roll dough
31/2 cups of flour
butter 125 g (about 1 cup)
baking powder 1/2 tsp
sugar 3 tsp
milk 1 cup
nutmeg 1/4 tsp
1 large egg
pinch of salt
this measurement makes 10 or more sausages depending on how thin you cut
ingredients for sausage filling
sausage 500g (use any sausage you like)
thyme 1/2 tsp
curry 1/2 tsp
garlic powder 1/2 tsp
black pepper 1/2 tsp
1 egg for egg wash and add 1/3 tsp of water to avoid the burnt brown look
