Hello again everyone, today we’ll be making some melt & pour soap base from scratch using Organic Unrefined Shea Butter. This has been a popular base and brought it back because of many requests. I initially was using 5% shea butter and had to reduce it to 2.5% for clarity purposes and the amount of Unsaponifiables. It’s a beautiful, rich creamy lathering base, M&P have a reputation for not lathering very well and been drying on the skin. This base however is the opposite, it’s full of natural ingredients and no nasties! It is very hydrating and lathers up like a dream
I hope you enjoy the video, Thanks for watching and happy soaping!

I always recommend to run any recipe through a Lye calculator, even if it’s provided by Dawn Organics. I use LyeCalc to formulate all my recipes. It is my favourite as you can adjust lye purity; https://www.lyecalc.com/
