In this video I'll be casting a bunch of D20 dice at home in bronze. The D20 is an Icosahedron which you can easily design and 3d print using Blender and your favorite 3d printer. I started by 3d printing the dice using polycast filament and made a tree mold of them using investment plaster. I then burned out the wax filament and melted down some scrap bronze. I poured the molten bronze into the mold using the Katway Investment casting machine. The casting machine helps by drawing a strong vacuum and pulling the molten metal into the mold cavity. I then removed all the dice from the sprue using my bandsaw. The dice were then sanded an polished to a mirror finish. I finished by laser engraving all the numbers onto the dice making sure that opposite sides always equal 21.
