This video shows the basics of how to measure fuel pressure and diagnose issues on the 305 / 350 Tuned Port Injection systems used on the 3rd Gen Camaro and Firebird. I had a question from someone asking for advice on a hard starting issue, so I thought it would be a good time to show the tool, how to connect the gauge, what the service manual trouble trees look like, and discuss the basic steps in troubleshooting the fuel system.
Warning: Risk of Fire when working on pressurized fuel systems, especially when connecting or disconnecting the pressure gauge. Use a rag to contain any fuel spray, try to work on a cold or cool engine, keep a fire extinguisher close at hand.
