HOW TO MOVE A CABIN!! (Off Grid Alaska)

The day has finally come! We took the plunge this week and tackled the cabin move. We wanted to get this done before the ground started to thaw and become mucky. The project went well and we spent our first night near the edge of the lake. The cabin will now remain here until after the snow melts and the ground dries up. Then we will position it better, as we want it to be, and set it on it's permanent foundation.

Next week we will be working on the shop roof. We are looking forward to getting a nice indoor workspace set up. It rains a lot here in the summer and we need a place to keep things dry!

Oh, I almost forgot. I have a surprise for everyone next week! I think you will enjoy it.
