In today’s tutorial we are exploring “paintbroidery”. That's a made up word, but basically this painting was inspired by traditional embroidery work. This is part 1 of 3 videos in this tutorial series.
In this project I’ll show you how to use paint to create thick, plump, dimensional dot shapes to simulate the effect of satin stitches and french knots. We’ll also use a round canvas much like an embroidery hoop.
