How to layer acrylic paint for a professional-looking blended background for either still life art or portraits and on master artists like Vincent Van Gogh used often. This demonstration illustrates a simple and easy technique for achieving that effect This was one of our first videos I ever made (5 cameras ago) and I have left it up in spite of the shaky camera work because the information is so valuable to any acrylic artists. These background examples are painted with professional Matisse Structure acrylic paint. Burnt Umber, cad yellow medium, cad red medium, Burnt Sienna, white, and Dioxazine Purple.
