In this video I will paint an impressionistic scene in watercolor, and will aim for a style similar to Tim Wilmot! And by the way - a lot of you have been asking me to review his work in my Painting Masters series, and I plan to. 🎨 LINK TO REFERENCE PHOTO 🎨 You can find the original photo here: http://www.wetcanvas.com/RefLib/showphoto.php?photo=31747 (You may need to create an account for WetCanvas). 🎨 MERGE SHAPES 🎨 One of the big things I love about this process, and also about how Tim WIlmot works, is his simplification of scenes. He composes them in a way that calls for large, merged washes. This immediately simplifies the painting and the viewer can bask in the story you are trying to tell. That's the big takeaway for me, from this scene. 🎨 MATERIALS USED 🎨 Paints (all Daniel Smith) Phthalo Blue (Red Shade) - https://amzn.to/2FCuEvA Nickel Azo Yellow - https://amzn.to/2HW5Ik3 Perylene Red - https://amzn.to/2HUc1Ve Brushes Silver Black Velvet - https://amzn.to/2JCnSJZ Raphael - https://amzn.to/2Wo71wb (multiple sizes and sellers) Princeton - https://amzn.to/2YoSHpa Paper Saunders Waterford, 300gsm, cold-press - https://amzn.to/2WrdTZU *** MUSIC CREDITS *** Music by Joakim Karud http://youtube.com/joakimkarud Music by @joakimkarudmusic
