How to align a board on a thickness gauge? Jointing without a jointer is a development of the well-known method of jointer jointing on a planer. As one of the options for leveling a carpentry board in a small amateur carpentry workshop.
Initially, the idea was to use a homemade machine to level large surfaces. This machine was made on the basis of a manual router for a specific task - it can align workpieces with a size of 1400 by 700 millimeters and a thickness of up to 80 millimeters. It gives high accuracy in the thickness of the part (that is, along the Z axis), but not very high accuracy in the X and Y axes due to the simplicity of the design and insufficient rigidity.
