After you pick the last mango, it's time to prune! Pruning is an essential part of mango tree care and maintenance. It keeps the tree healthier and smaller. This allows for better air circulation and light penetration, creates a more attractive tree, and the fruit is easier to pick.
In this video, Chris shows how to prune a 6-year-old mango tree in real time. It only took 20 minutes. Last year we were unable to prune this tree, so this year's pruning is more dramatic than it would have been under ideal circumstances.
