DIY-How to Repair a Door Latch Cable on a Honda Accord / Civic
Is the door no longer opening from inside and only opens from outside?
In this video, I show how to repair the door latch cable INSTEAD of removing and replacing the door latch cable. This repair was done for the passenger rear door for a 2005 Accord. A similar approach can be applied to any car.
The other end of the cable is connected inside the door lock mechanism assembly. Some people are not able to remove the screws for that assembly, they are on tight. If you don’t use the right head that seats fully in the screws, you will strip them, and they will need to be drilled out if they need to be removed.

Here is a video that I made that shows the removal of the door lock mechanism assembly...you don't need to do all this work anymore.

This repair skips all of this, and you don’t need to remove the door lock mechanism assembly. This repair focuses on the end of the cable.
