New Camshaft Position Sensor from 1AAuto.com https://trq.video/ib-1ACPS00117

This video shows you how to install a new camshaft position sensor in your 2003-2008 Honda Pilot. For vehicles with electronically controlled timing, a camshaft position sensor relays important information to the computer to ensure the engine is running properly. A bad sensor may relay incorrect or no information, resulting in poor running conditions and trouble codes.

Once the sensor is installed, you will need to follow the relearn procedure. This can either be done with a manufacturer scan tool, or manually with the following procedure:

1. Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm without load (in Park or neutral) until the radiator fan comes on.

2. Test-drive the vehicle on a level road: Decelerate (with the throttle fully closed) from an engine speed of 2,500 rpm down to 1,000 rpm with the transmission in 2 position.

3. Test-drive the vehicle on a level road: Decelerate (with the throttle fully closed) from an engine speed of 5,000 rpm down to 3,000 rpm with the transmission in 2 position.

4. Repeat step 2 and 3 several times.

5. Turn the ignition switch OFF.

6. Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and wait 30 seconds.

This repair was done on a 2007 Honda Pilot EX-L 3.5L Sport Utility 4-Door AWD Automatic and the process should be similar on the following vehicles:
2003 Honda Pilot
2004 Honda Pilot
2005 Honda Pilot
2006 Honda Pilot
2007 Honda Pilot
2008 Honda Pilot
