All BMW have built in protection against short circuit. If ECU detects CS (short circuit) it automatically can disable electricity output to a certain parts to avoid car getting into the flames. The trick is that even after fixing physical CS in the wiring the car will not work properly any more. Because power output has been disabled at software level. You even have to replace ECU (LM, FRM, FEM, BDC) or know the trick how to make it alive again. In that video I´m showing the procedure of resetting short circuit counter to the zero.
