I recently had to create a 3D hummingbird for a client project that we could pose and animate, and now I'm going to go over how to rig a bird in Maya with Advanced Skeleton.
In this free series I will cover the whole bird rigging process, made easy for animators and non riggers.
In this part 01 we will cover the 3d model prep, joint placement from the bird template and setting up advanced skeleton.
This will work with any bird model, you can use your own or purchase various 3d bird assets on stock market places
I will NOT be covering how to create feather systems, this is a whole deeper skillset, but you can build a beautiful animator friendly bird right here! and 🔥now all in 4K!
🔥 PART 02 COMING SOON !!!
