As teachers, we need to learn the skills to be able to stay in teaching. How do we say no? How do we set healthy boundaries so we can have a family life? How can we keep hobbies and get rid of bad habits that can get us teachers? This two part series brings experts in to discuss this topic and I share secrets from my 23-year career. I know that you can have AI-generated videos on this topic but this video is 100% from a real teacher who has lived this life for the last 23 years.
In Part 1 we're going to talk to Charle Peck as she shares the importance of teacher health in positive outcomes for students and just to have a great life as a teacher. We'll also talk to Morgane Michael about how to be a happy teacher who pushes that vibe out to your students.
This advice is solid and I've combined it with sharing some of my mistakes through the years so you can learn faster what took me way too long to learn (why did it take me 20 years to know how to have hard conversations with my boss that weren't complaint sessions but helped both of us grow and make decisions so the school and we could be better? But yes, it took me that long, but this lesson is from the heart.)
I hope you enjoy this video from the heart.
