With the popularity of no prep racing, MSD’s Power Grid Ignition Control is the one tool to have on your race car. The power management features will allow you to get your race car down the track. The ability to add modules opens up even more possibilities. Today we will shed some light on the ARC module. The ARC module stands for Advanced RPM Control, it basically allows your race car to remain consistent, pass after pass, controlling your engines rpm curve during a pass. This helps you get down the track quicker and far more consistent. By using the MSDView software we can control the rpm down to a hundredth of a second and control the driveshaft speed for maximum traction. We can also pull out timing for a split second should we encounter tire slip. In this video we will set up a curve to pull 5 degrees of timing and a second curve to pull 10 degrees, if that is not enough to slow down the driveshaft speed, we can then set a rev limit to slow down the wheel speed.
