In this video we'll be looking at how to simplify in sketches and drawings. A technique that you can use to simplify all of your art, and reliably simplify anything and everything in your scenes! In this video we will look at using shapes to simplify our buildings and architecture, to quickly sketch people in an approachable way, and with the same techniques will by able to draw simple dogs. Then of course, trees, cars... is there anything left in the world to sketch? Simplification is key to art, simplifying our scene is a step that lets us translate a 3D world onto our 2D sketchbook or paper, and quickly and simply sketch and draw it. Without simplification we can get lost in our scene, and simplification is important not just in minimalist and quick art, but also in complex and long form sketches, drawings and paintings.
