On this last week working on the crazy patchwork page of the Stitch Journal I thought it would be lovely to make some Simple Stumpwork Flowers. These have not been wired, but are simply stitched on a double layer of fabric before being cut out and applied to the background. Simple stitching completes the flowers themselves and they really do look so pretty in the middle of this piece of embroidery.
To finish the page there are another couple of seam finishes too, including a laced double running stitch.
