Bar Grounders are a tool option in leather carving/stamping that are used to fill in the background areas of a design. The impression that bar grounders leave in the leather is the look of tiny seed clusters.
Bar grounders are a step up from other basic backgrounding tools used in the craft. They take precision and patience to accurately and consistently replicate quality results. To some, bar grounders can be intimidating and very aggravating to figure out.
Hopefully in this video I can detail some of the things that I personally focus on while using this tool to achieve consistent and replicable results!
