If you've purchased a Whirlpool topload washing machine in the past 10 years, it features a way to figure out what may be wrong with your washing machine. However, its not easy to understand how to get the machine into the troubleshooting/diagnostic mode, OR understand how the code readout works. In this video, I'll show you how to put the machine into the mode AND on-screen explanations as to how to read the codes.
Also, I've included Whirlpool's official code list so you know exactly what the machine is saying as well. This video works for Whirlpool, Maytag, Amana, Admiral (What I use in the video), Roper and a few other styles. THIS DOES NOT WORK FOR A GE WASHER which has a similar display.
