Stucco plasterer Uwe Marko and his team have been commissioned to design a new frontage at Europapark. Using sophisticated techniques, they develop an impressive composition from the designers' rough drawings.
Stucco is drawn with templates, turned by hand or shaped by a stucco sculptor. They take molds from the artistic individual pieces and make copies, as the huge front requires many individual parts. The actual craftsmanship has not changed much since the Baroque period. The use of machines is also limited here. The traditional plasterer's trade is rarely practiced in Germany. Here in Ettenheim, it is still alive.
