How two stage dust collection works, or, How to Spend $2000 on a $200 Harbor Freight Dust Collector

The Harbor Freight dust collector I started with is SKU number 59726. I joke that it is $200, but the regular price (as of February 2025) is $299. As with many things at HF, there are specials and coupons from time to time. I paid $230 when I bought it in December 2024. The cyclone separator is the Super Dust Deputy XL from @oneida-air. I chose the XL because I wanted the 6-inch inlet and outlet. The filter is 13F230NANO from Wynn Environmental.
