Summiting the Matterhorn with an FPV Drone - Behind the Scenes
Welcome to my behind-the-scenes vlog of our trip to Zermatt, Switzerland where we pulled off the viral FPV shot, diving the incredible Matterhorn mountain with our FPV Drones in 2024!
After seeing the most incredible shot from the amazing @joshuaturner, we decided to head to the Matterhorn ourselves to attempt the peak and pull off the shot!
This video showcases exactly how we were able to pull the shot off from start to finish, from building our own custom Long Range FPV Drones & li-ion batteries to practising long-range mountain surfing to allow us to summit the Matterhorn. We spent several months thoroughly testing our setups to ensure the quads could make the flights safely without issue.
We used a range of Long Range FPV Drones including my custom-built AOS Falcon 7 & Speedybee Mario 8 along with the GEPRC Pulsar 9 with 6S1P 4500mah & 6S2P 9000-10000mah li-ion packs. We were all running DJI O3 for out video system and a mix of ELRS 2.4ghz & TBS Crossfire for our RX setups.
